Organizations That Help Soldiers

Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas - is a Texas charity sending care packages of food, gifts, clothing, toiletries, movies, toys for local kids, medical supplies and other donations to American soldiers and troops serving in the United States Armed Forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Mideast.

America Supports You - DoD program that connects individuals, organizations and companies to hundreds of homefront groups offering a variety of support to the military community.

Any Soldier - sends mail and care packages to soldiers in harm's way who haven't received much or any mail from home. They have a toolbar you can download, and each you use it to search (Yahoo search), they receive a few cents.

Cell Phones for Soldiers - collects and recycles cell phones and provides calling cards to U.S. troops overseas.

Disabled American Veterans - provides free assistance to veterans in obtaining benefits and services earned through their military service. It is fully funded through its membership dues and public contributions. It is not a government agency and receives no government funds.

Freedom Is Not Free - aids wounded service members, their families, and the families of the fatally wounded.

The Freedom Pens Project - is an all volunteer effort spearheaded by the members of SawMill Creek Woodworkers Forums to provide custom hand crafted pens to American servicemen and women overseas. We welcome anyone who is interested in our project and willing to donate their time, talent or services to assist us in our goal of providing beautiful writing instruments for our military stationed in foreign countries who are in harm's way. Every Freedom Pen that is delivered will serve as a constant reminder to our troops that they are not alone and will have our continued support until every one of them returns home.

Give2TheTroops - is a nonpartisan, non-political, patriotic organization aimed at supporting U.S. deployed and wounded troops in harm's way. Managed by patriotic volunteers who ensure that deployed U.S. military members in all branches of service are supported with letters and care packages.

Homes For Our Troops - builds and remodels homes for severely wounded veterans at no cost.

Olive Branch International - provides assistance and humanitarian aid through a holistic approach that emphasizes Education and Training; Community and Family Support; Medical Equipment, Training and Support; Programs for Spiritual Development.

Operation Homefront - provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind, and to wounded warriors when they return home.

Operation Once in a Lifetime - provides financial assistance to poverty stricken soldiers and their families.

Soldier's Angels - operates internationally to provide letters, care packages, and comfort items to the deployed, and support for their families here at home. Also provides assistance to the wounded, continuing support for veterans, remembrances and comfort for families of the fallen, and immediate response to unique difficulties.

Wounded Warrior Project - provides support for and connects soldiers who have been severely wounded or suffer from post traumatic stress.

The USO - is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform.
